Observing times The table on the right gives the times of Sunset & Sunrise for our observatory at Kenley, Surrey. The table also shows the time of moon rise and set and it's phase. This should allow you to plan your observing sessions. Look at the bright objects or the moon while the moon is up and hunt for those faint galaxies and other objects after the moon has set. You should be able to see the brighter objects after Nautical twilight but need to save hunting for the faint objects till after Astronomical Twilight. To see the table you need to have java enabled in your browser. The applet may take a few seconds to load and run before the data appears. Apologies for the layout but it is built into the java applet that has been put into the pubic domain for free.
